Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne was born on September 27, 1984 in in Belleville, Ontario. She is a Canadian singer-songwriter, and occasional actress. Her two albums, Let Go (2002) and Under My Skin (2004), have topped charts in several countries.
In 2006, she was included in Canadian Business Magazine's ranking of the most powerful Canadians in Hollywood, grabbing the seventh position.
Lavigne made her film debut in the animated film Over the Hedge, alongside William Shatner, Bruce Willis, and Garry Shandling.

Sandhya Mridul

Sandhya Mridul is a Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. She first started her career with the popular TV serial Swabhimaan. She made her breakthrough in films with Yash Raj Films, Saathiya with Rani Mukherjee and Vivek Oberoi. The film was critically and commercially successful and critics appreciated her performance. In 2005 she starred in Page 3 with National Award winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma and Tara Sharma. Her performance was again praised by the critics and the film went on to become a hit.
Her forthcoming movie is Deadline where she is performing along with Konkana Sen Sharma and Irfaan Khan.

Vida Samadzai was born in 1980 in Kabul, Afghanistan. She is Miss Afghanistan 2003. The first Afghan woman to participate in an international beauty pageant since 1974. She represented Afghanistan in Miss Earth beauty pageant in 2003 and was given a special "beauty for a cause" award at that competition. She will soon be visible in Bollywood movies.

She was Miss Salem Steel City in 1999, Miss Chennai in 1999 and won Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile in 2001.
Her latest Telugu film, Stalin with Chiranjeevi created South Indian record by collecting a share of RS. 130.8 million in 5 days. This got another entry for Stalin into the record books for the highest collected so far for any South Indian film in the first 5 days.

The Thought Project by Simon Hogsberg is very close to the spirit of Sophie Calle, with a slight postsecret twist. Here, too, the idea is simple: ask strangers what they were thinking at the very moment you stopped them. What impresses is the quality of the answers. It seems everyone here is either a writer or a character in a book. That is the impression I have gotten when (rarely) I had the chance to see/read Sophie Calle's work. How can the world be so filled with these amazing characters, these wild thinkers, these witty artistes... Don't get me wrong - not necessarily complex, deep thinkers. But... good people. Ben Harper asks Where'd all the good people go. To the Thought Project.
Then again, Hogsberg interviewed 150 strangers. And on the web page have 55 of them speaking. How was the choice made? In this case, isn't art the sort of science which can allow itself to be subjective, to be flawed, to be partisan? Don't we deserve some hope?
