Lisa Ray born on April 4, 1972 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is a Canadian actress and former fashion model. She was spotted by an agent in a crowd during a family vacation in India when she was 16, and her modeling career began when she appeared in an advertisement for Bombay Dyeing wearing a high-cut black swimsuit opposite Karan Kapoor.
Lisa started her film career with Tamil movie Nethaji opposite actor Sarath Kumar in 1994 and Bollywood acting career with the film Kasoor opposite Aftab Shivdasani in 2001.
She was named as ninth most beautiful woman of the millennium in a Times of India poll and featured in the Canadian edition of Hello magazine as one of the '50 Most Beautiful People' of the country.
Her latest release is "I Can't Think Straight" where she is performing along with Sheetal Sheth.
She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on June 23, 2009 and started her first cycle of treatment on July 2, 2009.
