Kelly Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is an American singer, songwriter. Clarkson made her debut as a pop musician with album Thankful after winning the highly publicized first season of the television series American Idol in 2002. Clarkson's new album, My December, was released on June 26, 2007.
Clarkson placed second behind Norwegian Idol Kurt Nilsen in a competition titled World Idol which was held in London, England, gathering the winners of the first seasons of Idol from across the globe in December 2003.
